Why build with high-efficiency natural gas?

Natural gas is an energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and reliable energy source - both now and for the future. But natural gas is also what homebuyers are asking for in today's marketplace. Research* shows that today’s homebuyers:

  • are more energy-conscious than ever
  • are looking for energy efficiency and long-term savings
  • prefer natural gas for both space and water heating twice as often as alternative systems

Research* also shows that an ENERGY STAR** high-efficiency natural gas heating system will increase the value, consumer appeal and marketability of your project.

*Synovate Research Study Oct 2004 and CMHC Study 2004

**An ENERGY STAR qualified appliance means a forced-air furnace rated 90 per cent AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) or higher; or a boiler rated 85 per cent AFUE or higher; or a condensing combination hot water heating system. A 90 per cent AFUE rating means that the appliance converts 90 per cent or more of the fuel it uses into useable heat. return to top
